In our energetic journey, we may encounter a subtle yet impactful energy known as restrictors. These are negative energy devices that look like funnels, designed to limit the flow of energy through our body. In this blog I'll talk about their origin, what they do, and how to effectively release them.

What Are Restrictors?
Restrictors are energetic devices shaped essentially like funnels, positioned on our chakras—the energy centers within and around our body. We may find them on our main seven chakras as well as on the 5th-dimensional chakras. It’s not uncommon to have multiple restrictors on a single chakra, each serving as a layer of protection or limitation.
Their purpose is to restrict the flow of energy through our system.
When and Why Do Restrictors Form?
Restrictors are not imposed by external forces. They are self-imposed, arising from our own mind and emotional framework. Most often, they are created by the Ego, subconscious mind, or inner child as a means to protect us from being overwhelmed, or from a perceived risk of becoming unloved or unwanted.
They typically originate during childhood between ages 4 and 7, and sometimes during the teenage years, although they can form at any age—rarely, in adulthood. The Ego creates restrictors about 80% of the time.
When the find a restrictor that was created during an individual’s adult life, it is most often created by the Inner Child. In these cases, it is likely the Inner Child does not feel completely safe, and we would want to ensure we take note of this and clear any underlying causes until the Inner Child tests as feeling 100% safe.
Ultimately, the reason they are created is rarely, if ever, necessary to determine. But for interest's sake, some common reasons why restrictors are created include:
The energy flow was too strong or overwhelming for the system to handle. Perhaps we had been sick for a long time, or our mental state was too unstable, or maybe we just got wayyy too excited for an extended amount of time.
Feelings of being unsafe are a big reason they are created. When we do not feel safe at the subconscious level, our mind attempts to provide safety by creating this restriction of our energy.
External reactions, such as adults telling a child they have “too much energy,” prompting the child’s Ego to self-regulate in order to maintain love and safety and connection.
Releasing Restrictors
Before releasing, it’s necessary to check for any energies anchoring the restrictor, such as trapped emotions, imbalances, or limiting beliefs. If there are any anchors, these must be cleared in order to release the device.
To release a restrictor, simply release it with Intention or by swiping over the governing meridian 3 times. Personally, I like to dissolve the device and return it to the Light, and then replace it with Life Force Energy.
After releasing a restrictor, check for any associated portals or energy channels. If portals are present, again check to see if they are anchored to the field, and clear anything necessary. Ask Divine Light to fully and permanently seal the portal.
By understanding the nature of restrictors and how they are formed, we empower ourselves to clear these energetic barriers, allowing a smoother, more vibrant flow of energy through all your chakras. Your energetic health is vital to your overall well-being—I encourage us all to check for and clear any restrictors on our chakras, or request that an energy healing practitioner check for them during an appointment.
